The Poise Collection began with a question: what would activewear feel like if fuller-bust support and elegant design were considered together from the first sketch?
Instead of adapting an existing silhouette, the process started with the body—studying proportion, movement, pressure, coverage, and the moments when conventional activewear asks women to compromise.
The first sketch began with support
Many garments begin with an external silhouette and address support later. Poise reversed that order.
The underband, strap placement, neckline, and internal structure were considered before decorative details. The intention was to create stability that feels integrated rather than added afterward.
Support should be present in the experience of wearing the piece but quiet in its appearance.
Fuller-bust proportions shaped each decision
Scaling a smaller pattern upward does not fully account for how the band, cup, shoulder, waist, and torso interact.
Development focused on how the garment sits across varied fuller-bust bodies. Coverage was created through construction rather than simply adding more fabric.
Separate top and bottom sizing remained essential so the finished set could respect individual proportions.
Movement revealed the smallest details
A garment can appear resolved while standing and behave differently in motion.
Samples were considered through reaching, bending, walking, and low-impact studio movement. The process looked for shifting underbands, straps carrying too much pressure, necklines changing position, and seams creating unnecessary restriction.
Each observation informed another refinement.
Softness had to work with structure
The collection needed to feel gentle without losing its shape.
Fabric was considered for surface softness, stretch, recovery, breathability, and its ability to support the garment’s construction. The objective was not maximum compression.
It was a balanced sensation: held, smooth, and free enough for the body to move naturally.
The complete look mattered
Poise was designed as a set because the relationship between the top, waistband, rise, and leg line creates a complete silhouette.
When these proportions work together, functional support no longer feels like something that must be hidden. It becomes part of an elegant whole.
